  • Overview

    Antech Diagnostics, the largest exclusively commercial veterinary diagnostic laboratory in the nation, is in search of a Laboratory Quality Assurance Tech working out of our Lake Success, New York Laboratory and reporting directly to our QA Manager.


    As part of the VCA Family, which operates the largest network of freestanding, full-service animal hospitals in the nation, Antech Diagnostics delivers state of the art testing and consulting services to practicing veterinarians.  Our diagnostic spectrum of tests in areas of chemistry, pathology, endocrinology, serology, hematology, and microbiology enhance the veterinarians ability to detect, diagnose, evaluate and prevent disease and other conditions affecting animals.





    This position will be responsible for the production and administration of our internal proficiency testing program for more than sixty veterinary diagnostic laboratories.   

    • You will produce proficiency testing to samples
    • Maintain a web based database of sample results
    • Compile reports and disseminate to all participants
    • Perform regular maintenance on laboratory equipment
    • Support other initiatives of the quality assurance department


    Candidates should be flexible, innovative, team player and be a self-starter results oriented person.  


    • BS Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related Science field
    • Medical Technician preferred
    • 1-2 years of relevant diagnostic laboratory experience
    • Excellent attention to detail; good organizational skills
    • Excellent time management skills with strict adherence to established deadlines
    • Excellent oral and written communications skills
    • Able to work collaboratively and independently
    • Outstanding problem solving abilities
    • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
