    Antech Diagnostics, the largest exclusively commercial veterinary diagnostic laboratory in the nation, is in search of a Human Resources Coordinator/ Jr. Recruiter working out of our Chicago office reporting directly to our Human Resources Manager


    As part of the VCA Family, which operates the largest network of freestanding, full-service animal hospitals in the nation, Antech Diagnostics delivers state of the art testing and consulting services to practicing veterinarians.  Our diagnostic spectrum of tests in areas of chemistry, pathology, endocrinology, serology, hematology, and microbiology enhance the veterinarians ability to detect, diagnose, evaluate and prevent disease and other conditions affecting animals.


    The Human Resources coordinator will facilitate our full-cycle recruitment process including interviewing and effectively selecting qualified candidates for the Southeast region lab positions. In addition, will assist with effective coordination and implementation of HR programs, and provide input to organizational development and productivity improvement.


    • Assist HR Manager as well as Lab management with recruitment for Lab positions
    • Maintain applicant tracking spreadsheet
    • Onboard and process all new hires
    • Process employee transactions which includes new hires, promotions, transfers, pay adjustments, etc.  Administer termination processing: requesting final checks, scheduling exit interviews, and compiling employee final packet. 
    • Train on payroll processing, and back-up payroll processing as needed.
    • Manage the administration of operating procedures, record systems, and the preparation of periodic reports and summaries to keep management apprised of activities.
    • Audit HR and Payroll systems to ensure correct information has been input and processed.  Run and distribute monthly reports & Ad/Hoc reports to divisional & HR management as needed.


    The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a sense of urgency and a commitment to providing superior client service, be highly organized and able to work under time pressures and manage multiple demands simultaneously. Candidates should have prior recruitment experience in a fast paced environment. 

    • Candidates should have 2-4 years of recruitment and/or sourcing and screening experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business or related field required
    • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills required
    • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and use confidential information appropriately.
    • Must be able to organize and schedule work effectively and adapt to changing priorities.
