• Regional Transportation Manager

  • Overview

    Antech Diagnostics, the largest exclusively commercial veterinary diagnostic laboratory in the nation, is in search of a Regional Transportation Manager working out of our Atlanta  office and reporting directly to Vice President, Transportation.


    As part of the VCA Family, which operates the largest network of freestanding, full-service animal hospitals in the nation, Antech Diagnostics delivers state of the art testing and consulting services to practicing veterinarians.  Our diagnostic spectrum of tests in areas of chemistry, pathology, endocrinology, serology, hematology, and microbiology enhance the veterinarians ability to detect, diagnose, evaluate and prevent disease and other conditions affecting animals


    This position will oversee the Southeast  territories.  


     This position is responsible for providing  expertise, operational insight and managerial focus with their  direct reports. Manages activities in the Transportation  department, with responsibility for achieving productivity and efficiency goals.  Manages staff, assigning work and evaluating results.  Assists with the development of the department budget, operating policies and procedures.  May perform a variety of client service activities for internal and external stakeholders


    • Supervises staff, assigns work, monitors activities and evaluates results and performance. Resolves escalated issues. Administers employment actions, provides coaching and guidance to staff and promotes staff training and development.
    •  Supervises assigned department by monitoring work flow to meet schedules; distributing and reviewing work assignments; training employees in techniques; resolving work related problems of staff; and overseeing performance appraisals and disciplinary actions
    • Train departmental employees on techniques, procedures, and company policy
    • Works with supervisor to head up the validation of new procedures
    • Reviews QA and QC records when applicable
    • Expedites the flow of work to maximize productive capacity by evaluating production systems and recommending enhancements and coordinating the resolution of production problems/issues involving other laboratory departments.
    •  Interact in a professional manner with inter-departmental teams and groups.



    • Associate degree, Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent

    • 2-5 years previous experience in a fast paced production/distribution environment
