Antech Diagnostics, the largest exclusively commercial veterinary diagnostic laboratory in the nation, is in search of a Growth Specialist  in Greater Washington DC Metro area the reporting directly to Regional Manager.

                    

As part of the VCA Family, which operates the largest network of freestanding, full-service animal hospitals in the nation, Antech Diagnostics delivers state of the art testing and consulting services to practicing veterinarians.  Our diagnostic spectrum of tests in areas of chemistry, pathology, endocrinology, serology, hematology, and microbiology enhance the veterinarians ability to detect, diagnose, evaluate and prevent disease and other conditions affecting animals

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have prior experience within the Animal Health Industry and is dedicated to managing and growing their territory /region by promoting, selling, and supporting Antech Diagnostic services to local Veterinarians. Our Growth Specialist not only know their business and the products we offer but are also deeply committed to the needs of their clients. We are all about developing solid relationships with our veterinary clients. 

 

You will responsible for:

  • Identifying and growing under-performing accounts within the respective region by conducting sales calls to promote, sell, and service existing and potential animal hospitals, veterinarians and staff.
  • Increasing the recurring diagnostic revenue year over year in your territory as well as attain quarterly medical device equipment sales goals and objectives.
  • Providing consultative selling by translating customer needs into diagnostic solutions, including consultation at staff in-services and veterinarian seminars.
  • Collaborate and “co-sell” with Antech Territory Sales Managers.
  • Educate and train Veterinary clinic staff about products and services.
  • Educate and train Territory Sales Managers on how to identify and grow accounts regularly.
  • Develop and grow partnerships with Veterinary practice staff to establish a solid base of new business opportunities.

Qualifications

 

Candidates should have previous sales experience in a service industry, preferably in Animal Healthcare.  The Ideal candidates will have a demonstrable record of previous sales performance success with a track record of generating leads and closing deals.  Business to Business Sales experience is a plus. Solid time management skills and the ability to organize prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, across a variety of audiences.  Professional and effective interpersonal skills. Enthusiasm and the ability to meet established goals.

  • Bachelor's Degree (Animal Health, Lab Sciences or Business)
  • Candidates should have 3+ years of outside sales experience.
  • Demonstrable success in previous employment indicated by high level of sales performance with a track record of prospecting, pre-call planning and closing deals.
  • Ability to close new business within a short sales cycle.
  • Ability to execute sales strategies in a complex multi-faceted environment. 
  • Candidates must be able to travel approximately 85% of the time within their assigned Region and may require overnight travel. Must be able to drive over two hours consecutively.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable.
