Responsibilities

Antech Diagnostics is looking for a Business Analyst  to work with our Lab Operations group. This position will report to our Chief Operating Officer, based in our Chantilly, Virginia Lab. Our Business Analyst will be responsible for for creating an analytics framework and instituting new reporting, programs, and procedures.  The Business Analyst will work closely with veterinary professionals, lab operations and finance teams to assist in putting data that is collected to practical use with the goal of maximizing profits and increasing efficiency. The Business Analyst will be responsible for gathering and interpreting several different types of data, including those related to Antech’s online presence, client surveys, available market research, segmented client groups and diagnostic infrastructures.  The Business Analyst will be the primary resource to the leadership team for market data sourcing, validation and reporting to facilitate innovative ideation's and upstream strategies. 

  • Identify and implement new data analysis methodologies
  • Produce cost analysis and ROI on all new product ideas/concepts, diagnostic testing, diagnostic equipment needs, product innovations, and special projects related to lab and total diagnostics.
  • Review current data and processes to ensure appropriate data governance and adherence to data privacy laws and MVH standards and requirements.
  • Work cross functionally to support tactical and strategic business initiatives by providing data based insight and conclusions.
  • Train cross-functional teams (e.g. sales, operations) on appropriate use and interpretation of data analysis reports.
  • Develop and maintain standardized best practices regarding data collection, analysis and reporting.
  • Integrate data from various groups (professional staff, lab operations, IT, Sales, Finance) to construct an overall understanding of business performance.
  • Contribute to recurring reporting to the Senior Leadership team through the production of effective monthly reports.
  • Continually reassess key stakeholders needs considering business/market dynamics, provocatively identifying trends and working with business partners to adjust deliverables accordingly.

 

Qualifications

The Ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Business Intelligence, Data Science or related field required. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 5-7 years’ experience in a business analysis, data analysis, or similar role
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions
  • Advanced technical skills
  • Excellent documentation skills and visual presentation skills
  • Ability to think analytically, conceptually, and strategically
  • Knowledge of data, databases (such as SQL Server, Access) and their manipulation
  • Experience in analysis, building a business case, creating detailed reports and giving presentations to all organizational levels
  • Competency in analysis software such as SAS, JMP, etc. and user interface reporting software such as Tableau, Domo
  • A self-starter with excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
  • Proven history of leading and supporting successful projects
  • Ability to work cross functionally in a highly matrixed organization and experience influencing without authority
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Travel may be required
