Responsibilities

 

Antech Diagnostics is looking for a Business Analyst  to work with our Sales group, reporting to our Senior Vice President  of Sales & Marketing. Thhis positiob will be located in our Fountain Valley,California.   The Business Analyst will be responsible for creating an analytics framework and instituting new reporting, programs, and procedures.  The Business Analyst will work closely with the commercial operations (sales, marketing, and product management), veterinary professionals, lab operations and finance teams to assist in putting data that is collected to practical use with the goal of maximizing profits and increasing efficiency. The Business Analyst will be responsible for gathering and interpreting several different types of data, including those related to Antech’s online presence, client surveys, available market research, segmented client groups and diagnostic infrastructures.  The Business Analyst will be the primary resource to the leadership team for market data sourcing, validation and reporting to facilitate innovative ideations and upstream strategies. 

  • Review, analyze, and evaluate user needs to create systems solutions that support overall business strategies.
  • Design, implement and deliver standard and ad hoc reports to support data-driven analysis and provide business decision support and insight.
  • Document system requirements, define scope and objectives, and create system specifications that drive system development and implementation.
  • Function as a liaison between IT and end-users utilizing business, financial, and technical expertise to deliver the highest quality analysis.
  • Review and validate client data as it is collected.
  • Monitor and provide access to data for the appropriate functional areas.
  • Develop & optimize the process for the collection and analysis of data.
  • Interpret contracts when necessary to the analysis process.
  • Identify and implement new data metrics and processing programs, including user interface and reporting programs for efficiency and ease of use (e.g. Tableau, Domo)
  • Interface with our IT department to refine software and hardware upgrades that make it possible for us to leverage “big data” use reports for all functions
  • Monitor analytics and metrics results daily, monthly, quarterly for Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Operations.

Qualifications

 The Ideal candidate will have the following experence :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Business Intelligence, Data Science or related field required. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 5-7 years’ experience in a business analysis, data analysis, or similar role
  •  
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions
  • Advanced technical skills
  • Excellent documentation skills and visual presentation skills
  • Ability to think analytically, conceptually, and strategically
  • Knowledge of data, databases and their manipulation
  • Experience in analysis, building a business case, creating detailed reports and giving presentations to all organizational levels.
  • Competency in analysis software such as SAS, JMP, etc. and user interface reporting software such as Tableau, Domo
  • A self-starter with excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
  • Proven history of leading and supporting successful projects
  • Ability to work cross functionally in a highly matrixed organization and experience influencing without authority
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Travel may be required
