AIS an international, diverse, and rapidly growing sector of Antech Diagnostics. The Director, Telemedicine is a key partner in creating and carrying out the strategic plans, initiatives and priorities of the teleradiology division including fiscal management, operational oversight, radiologist talent acquisition, and resident program development.

This position will  be responsible for: 

• Overseeing operational performance to achieve financial objectives including revenue, expense, ROTA, budget forecast and strategic planning.
• When needed, assist in building relationships with other veterinary telemedicine businesses throughout the Mars pet care ecosystem with the goal of internalizing business from Mars Veterinary Health-owned telemedicine companies to AIS.
• Assist in driving machine learning and artificial intelligence initiatives inclusive of identifying veterinary AI/ML companies for potential acquisition.
• Assist with the development of potential strategic technology partnerships.
• Partner with sales to drive adoption of additional service offerings such as reproduction, nutrition, and neurology.
• As needed, participate in merger and acquisition activities with a focus on integration into a stronger client service offerings.
• Develop recommendations for strategic growth through the evaluation of new market and business models utilizing competitive assessments, forward looking forecasts, industry and historical trends.
• Develop and deliver executive level reporting including weekly, monthly, quarterly status reports to manage risks, service needs and to improve team communication and collaboration.
• Provide informal guidance and act as a resource to the various programming, technical support and client service needs of AIS.
• Work closely with the AIS Chief Medical Officer (CMO) in recruiting specialists, new associate onboarding, and training. Engage associates through meaningful training and growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with the Director of Academic Affairs to recruit and place universities under contract for shared faculty positions and residency programs including assisting in creating resident positions within VCA/Mars Veterinary Health that will result in additional telemedicine support for AIS.
• May be asked to participate in enterprise initiatives, special projects.

The Ideal candidate will have the follow experience:

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
• Minimum 5 years business experience in telemedicine required
•  
• Exemplary interpersonal skills with experience working with a wide variety of associates, clients, and outside professionals
• Ability to use a computer and software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook
• Identify, analyze and troubleshoot a wide range of complex problems effectively
• Deliver communication over the phone in a professional manner
• Learn and apply new knowledge quickly
• Attention to detail, organized with ability to multi-task
• Read, write and speak fluent English, using appropriate grammar, style and vocabulary
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
• Listen and communicate information to a wide variety of clients at all levels of skill
• Proven ability to identify, follow through, follow up, and resolve urgent issues
• Ability to follow directions and be self-directed
