Responsibilities

Antech Diagnostics currently  has an opportunity for an Applications Engineer. The Applications Engineer is responsible for designing, developing and implementing programs and applications by conducting a customer analysis in order to achieve innovation solutions.

  • Gathering information from customers or business leaders to meet needs
  • Creating diagrams and models to guide programmers
  • Ensuring software works properly after maintenance and testing
  • Collaborating with designers, programmers and developers
  • Strategizing and building releases for future upgrades and maintenance
  • Perform Level 1 support as needed in on-call fashion to support AVD in Asia
  • Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends, and apply them into operations and activities

Qualifications

Candidates should  have the following experience:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • 3+ years related experience.
  • Experience of working in a healthcare setting is a plus
  •  
  • Experience of NoSQL database such as DynamoDB and/or MongoDB.
  • Experience of CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins.
  • Experience of programming using python or JavaScript.
  • Experience of scripting using Perl and bash scripts.
  • Knowledge of version control system such as Git and TFS.
  • Experience with Scrum or waterfall SDLC methodology.
  • Self-motivated and direct, with the ability to effectively prioritize and deliver in a high-pressure environment.
  • Willing to work outside regular hours for emergency situations.

  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Analytical approach to problem solving and ability to think outside the box.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with end users.
