The Sr. Software Product Manager leads the software product creation function by identifying customer and business problems and needs, distilling them into meaningful software features & capabilities, creating and evolving a product roadmap, and continuing to support and enhance the associated customer/stakeholder experience. The Sr. Software Product Manager will work as the pivot between customer, business and development team. Establishes policies and procedures that produce high-quality software product and service to Antech’s veterinary practice clients and their pet-owner customers.


  • Responsible for leading the product roadmap, coordinating all business efforts by acting with a general management mindset, and supporting SCRUM Team as the Product Lead for a client/customer-facing digital diagnostics experience for Antech’s veterinary practice clients and their pet-owner customers.  
  • Responsible for customer and business requirements gathering to story refinement, writing, and acceptance to implementation and rollout. 
  • Responsible for representing and advocating the “voice of the customer” and “voice of the business” with the technical team(s). 
  • Identify, develop and implement enhancements that improve the customer experience and productivity while enabling Antech’s growth from targeted markets and segments.  Create project plans, determine project teams, gather necessary resources and implement projects.  Manage projects, report on progress and ensure successful conclusions. 
  • Communicate with customers to gain feedback on user product experiences and opportunities. Ensure correct features are identified and consider customers, sales, operations, finance, related lines of business and others.  Prioritize and negotiate to build best possible set of features to be included and developed in the new features and solutions. 
  • Coordinate with marketing, IT, operations, research and development, sales, support, and others to manage projects and ensure overall launch success. 
  • Assist in the development of presentations, demos, and product updates for organizational training and customer-facing marketing materials. 
  • Develop/maintain knowledge of Company products and services as well as changes and developments in the industry affecting work activities.  May participate in outside industry groups and forums related to business activities. 
  • Lead a team that could consist of contract and company associates, business and technical 
  • Provide support as necessary to business initiatives and change projects 
  • Continue to foster a positive culture where the team enjoys and is challenged by what they do and who they work with, and have the necessary resources to be successful in their role(s) 
  • May be asked to participate in other initiatives, special projects and other duties as assigned  
  • May be asked to take on, lead and manage direct reports over time

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required; Master’s degree or equivalent preferred 
  • 8 years’ experience of relevant software industry and product management experience 
  • At least 5 years’ project management experience, in a role that requires involvement and understanding of change leadership and management 
  • Experience product and project managing IT initiatives including the introduction of new processes to support these initiatives. Aware of industry and professional standards (e.g. six sigma)  
  • Strong knowledge/experience with software and ideally, healthcare/diagnostic technologies, including cloud technologies including Microsoft Azure, system-to-system integration protocols like REST API, UML sequence diagrams, Agile SCRUM process, and familiarity with database / schema concepts 
  • Extensive experience in organization wide initiatives and change leadership 
  • Science and/or veterinary background preferred, as applicable 
  • Extensive sitting, phone, and computer use  
  • Ability to multi-task  Manages multiple tasks at one time; quickly and accurately shifts attention among multiple tasks under distracting conditions without loss of accuracy or appearance of frustration
